Community Chest February Winner

February Community Chest fund has supported The Hope Project.

The Hope Project, part of charity The Hope Trust, provides family support, training, clubs and self help initiatives to the residents of the Hemmingwell Estate, Wellingborough. It also brings the community together by facilitating fun events for families.

Andrew Upton, Administrator and Trustee of The Hope Trust, said “Thank you so much for the nomination and the gift you have given to us. This will be used in two ways, half will go to the preschool for any children who need help and the other half will do to the HUB upcycling centre that the project runs.

The HUB provides furniture and other household items to anyone who is moving into a property and have nothing and no means to get what they need, both on the Hemmingwell and in other parts of town, in conjunction with Wellingborough Homes.”

Each month, one community cause, club or charity will be selected to receive £100 from Swansgate. So whether you're fundraising for a particular event or mission or would like some extra cash for your local club, make your nomination!

To nominate, fill out a card and post in the entry box by the Community Noticebox (in between Wilko & Home Bargains). You can nominate until the end of each month, where one nomination will be chosen to receive £100. The chosen cause will be announced on our website here and on our Facebook page at the beginning of the next month.
