Local shop worker from Wellingborough has been announced as our latest recipient of our Good Deeds campaign that recognises the work of the local community and volunteers.
We were extremely touched by this entry and the story behind the nomination. Michele’s good friend, Jenny Cox nominated Michelle for always staying “positive” even in the hardest of times.
Jenny explained “Michelle worked in Boots in Swansgate now for over 20 years and retired in late 2021. The past few months have been very challenging for Michele but she has been extremely positive and is now on the road to recovery having completed her treatment. Michele has been a good friend of mine for over 30 years and I would love to surprise her as this month’s Good Deed winner”.
To help put a smile on Michelle’s face, the centre gifted her with a £50 Boots gift card to spend at the centre, a bunch of flowers and some chocolates to thank her.
Do you know someone who deserves a good deed? Swansgate are looking for local schools, clubs, charities, community groups and of course individuals which would benefit from some support.
