We are remembering Covid-19 lost loved ones.
#loveforthelost support group are self-formed by a community of families bereaved by the recent Covid 19 pandemic. Their aim is simple, they want to ensure their loved ones are recognised and remembered as more than just a statistic. The group came together when the Gompertz family put a yellow heart in their window to remember their grandma, mother and wife, Sheila, and encouraged others grieving to do similar. The idea has quickly become an online tribute to many of the lost.
A loyal shopper here at Swansgate, sadly lost her mother in April due to coronavirus. We wanted to show our support to families across Wellingborough who are grieving.
Here’s Debra’s story… Our mum Debra Byrne sadly lost her life to COVID-19 while in Kettering hospital on the 16th April 2020, she was only 62yrs of age. Sadly leaving myself, Tammy Byrne, my brother, Sean Byrne, my sister, Melanie Mooreand 8 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. Our mum was a fighter she had been through so much over the last few years with certain illnesses but never gave in. Unfortunately the Covid-19 virus was just too much for her to handle and she was taken from us. We had no goodbyes, no proper funeral and no wake to celebrate her life. This has been heartbreaking for our family. Our mum will be remembered for being an outgoing person and the most loving, caring mum and grandmother. Our mum was our best friend and our rock. Mum will always be loved and missed by so many she will always have a place in our hearts.
