Here at Swansgate we try to make shopping in the centre accessible to everyone.

What is Purple Tuesday we hear you ask!

Well Purple Tuesday is the UK’s first accessible shopping day, established to recognise the importance and needs of disabled consumers and promotes inclusive shopping.

The aim of the day is to increase awareness of the value and needs of disabled consumers and encourage sustainable changes in business practices that improve customer experience over the long term.

Here at Swansgate we try our best to make our centre all-inclusive, but if you feel that there are any ways we can improve our centre then please do get in touch.

A few things you might not know;

• A wheelchair and disabled shopping trolleys which clip on to wheelchairs are available for use in the centre – please contact either the Centre Management on 01933 226029 or speak to a member of the on-mall team in the centre.
• For customers with limited mobility, a street-level entrance is provided at Market Street. For those arriving by motor vehicle, access can be gained via Level 3 of the multi-storey car park and there is lift access from all car park levels.
• Our staff have had Purple Angel Awareness training
