Our charity of the year 2024 is Kelly’s Heroes
Kelly’s Heroes is an incredible mental health awareness charity that helps many people each year.
Kelly was always the life of the party and she always wore a big smile on her face. She loved sports and played football, hockey & cricket for local teams. Sadly she suffered with her mental health and after a short battle, she ended her own life on 18th December 2018, at just 24 years old.
Kelly’s legacy will be her charity and Kelly’s Heroes’ mission is to help as many people, particularly children with their mental health.
In 2020, Kelly’s Heroes put together a team of 12 determined riders and 4 crew members, all of whom knew Kelly personally, and cycled from John O’Groats to Lands’ End. Kelly’s Heroes raised over £125K for the charity, which is an incredible achievement.
Here at Swansgate, we will be working closely with Kelly’s Heroes to increase awareness of mental health and support Kelly’s Heroes in their mission.
