Swansgate Shopping Centre is proud to announce that it will be continuing its partnership with The Daylight Centre Fellowship as its chosen charity partner for 2026, building on the success and impact of the past year.
Following a strong year of fundraising, awareness-building and community engagement, Swansgate has committed to extending its support of the Wellingborough-based charity as part of its ongoing dedication to making a positive difference locally. Throughout 2026, the shopping centre will once again host a programme of fundraising initiatives and events designed to support the charity’s vital work and raise awareness of the challenges facing people in the community.
Established in 1994, The Daylight Centre Fellowship works to combat homelessness, poverty and social exclusion, supporting adults to move towards healthier, happier and more independent lives. Its wide-ranging services provide essential, practical help while also fostering dignity, resilience and community connection.
Key services include:
- Community Hub – A welcoming and inclusive space offering practical support, a community café, and a Support Hub providing advice, guidance and referrals.
- Foodbank – Providing up to four days’ supply of food, household essentials and toiletries to individuals and families experiencing crisis.
- Daylight Shop – A charity shop selling quality pre-loved items, with all proceeds reinvested directly into the charity’s services.
- Veggie Patch – A community garden project where volunteers grow fresh fruit and vegetables, supplying the Foodbank and café with healthy, home-grown produce.
